However, he did not find much success playing in tournaments afterwards, due in part to large tournament organizers, such as GOMTV and MLG, allowing professional South Korean players to compete in the United States. Robinson's best professional result in came in 2011, after finishing in the top four at MLG Dallas 2011. In an interview, he noted that while he enjoyed the community aspect of the game, he was "a competitor first and foremost." His Evil Geniuses salary increased to at least $3,000 per month by 2011. He would also cast StarCraft events and worked on the State of the Game podcast. By 2010, Robinson and some of his Evil Geniuses teammates founded GosuCoaching, a dedicated coaching website, where the majority of his income came from. He was initially paid a salary of US$200 per month, along with paid travel and free equipment. That same year, Robinson joined the esports organization Evil Geniuses, in anticipation of Blizzard Entertainment 's upcoming sequel StarCraft II. He was also a contestant on the first season of the Syfy reality show WCG Ultimate Gamer in 2009. In 2007, he won the World Cyber Games 2007 USA qualifiers. Robinson began playing StarCraft: Brood War as early as 1998, at age 14, when he started his own professional StarCraft team. In 2019, he died due to a pulmonary embolism. The first one occurred in 2013, when he developed deep vein thrombosis. Robinson had been hospitalized multiple times due to blood clots. He also ran several podcast series throughout his career. He hosted and commentated several major StarCraft II events from 2010 to 2019, including the StarCraft II World Championship Series. As his career progressed, Robinson transitioned from primarily being a player to primarily being a commentator. He was signed to the esports organization Evil Geniuses in 2009, where he competed as a part of their StarCraft II division. Razer Cortex’s Game Booster automatically runs in the background and tweaks all the background processes during your gaming session. The software improves boot time and launch time of games by essentially shutting down all resource-draining services running in the background, which release memory space and hence reduces startup time. For games that are more CPU bound like DoTA, the software will probably improve FPS rates.Īlong with the basic functionalities of the Razer Cortex’s Game Booster, it also works as a Startup Optimization tool. In case your game is more GPU intensive, Razer Cortex will only free up RAM space which doesn’t help much with GPU performance. ![]() ![]() We can think of this in terms of a musical orchestra and its conductor: directing many different instruments, sounds and feelings into a single comprehendible symphony of sound. This visual and conceptual unity is sublimated by the variety of elements and principles used to create it. This same sense of unity is projected to encompass the idea and meaning of the work too. Ultimately, a work of art is the strongest when it expresses an overall unity in composition and form, a visual sense that all the parts fit together that the whole is greater than its parts. The Principles we will learn to employ are Unity and Variety, Balance, Emphasis and Subordination (Focal Point), Scale and Proportion, Rhythm and Repetition, and Time and Motion. The following page explores important principles in composition. Some artists today like to bend or ignore these rules and by doing so are experimenting with different forms of expression. A good knowledge of composition is essential in producing good artwork. The center of interest will be strong and the viewer will not look away, instead, they will be drawn into the work. The artist who works with the principles of good composition will create a more interesting piece it will be arranged to show a pleasing rhythm and movement. In any work of art there is a thought process for the arrangement and use of the elements of design. This is sometimes referred to as visual impact. The principles of design help you to carefully plan and organize the elements of art so that you will hold interest and command attention. Too much unity without variety is boring and too much variation without unity is chaotic. When we say a painting has unity we are making a value judgment. Any list of these effects may not be comprehensive, but there are some that are more commonly used (unity, balance, etc). So, the word “principle” can be used for very different purposes.Īnother way to think about a principle is that it is a way to express a value judgment about a composition. On the other hand, a principle can describe a high quality standard to strive for such as “unity is better than chaos” or “variation beats boredom” in a work of art. On the one hand, a principle can be used to describe an operational cause and effect such as “bright things come forward and dull things recede”. There are at least two very different but correct ways of thinking about principles. Using a chemistry analogy, the principles are the ways the elements “stick together” to make a “chemical” (in our case, an image). The principles help govern what might occur when particular elements are arranged in a particular way. The principles are based on sensory responses to visual input: elements APPEAR to have visual weight, movement, etc. The first way to think about a principle is that it is something that can be repeatedly and dependably done with elements to produce some sort of visual effect in a composition – the arrangement of objects, elements, forms and/or colors in a work of art. Incorporating the principles into your artistic vocabulary not only allows you to objectively describe artworks you may not understand, but contributes in the search for their meaning. ![]() Yet all of these rely on basic structural principles that, like the elements we’ve been studying, combine to give voice to artistic expression. Visual art manifests itself through media, ideas, themes and sheer creative imagination. ![]() ![]() ![]() Peanut butter seems to overpower the chocolate taste, though it is still present. I’m very picky when it comes to peanut butter flavors in just about anything, so I always have high standards. This is my least favorite out of the three, however, this is still a delicious treat!. Also, it could be that I always eat this flavor cold, but I’ve noticed it’s a bit crunchier than Peanut Butter or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I notice the protein crisps more in this one due to them being right next to the cream layer, but that just made the texture even better. There isn’t one flavor here that outdoes the other rather, it’s just a perfect blend of cookies and cream. ![]() The bottom layer is straight crunchy cookie, and really complements the cream layer well. The cream layer is absolutely delicious it is so smooth and rich it’s like eating a giant Oreo. If you want to get the best taste, make sure you keep these guys in your fridge or lunch box. In contrast to the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor, this bar is best served COLD. This is probably my favorite flavor out of the three. One of the biggest highlights about this flavor are the little chocolate chips stuck inside the cookie dough…when you get one in your bite, you’re in for a chocolate treat! The cookie dough center was a bit hard, and while it was still very good, the second time I scoffed one down I put it in the microwave for about 6 seconds and BAM! Instant, warm, gooey cookie dough. The first time I had one, it had been left in my fridge overnight. I will mention that this flavor is best served slightly WARM. I do wish the cookie dough flavor played a vital role in the profile, but it is still very noticeable. The taste is predominantly chocolate centered with a rush of cookie dough. However, the search is definitely worth it! This flavor has an outstanding “gooey” cookie dough center, though not as much of a “crunch” as the other two bars I noticed. While you can typically find the Peanut Butter and Cookies and Cream bars in a variety of convenience/grocery stores, finding the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor can be a bit more challenging. Isolate being first is a nice touch to the Fit Crunch Bars, and is followed by whey protein concentrate, ad wheat protein isolate. ![]() However, the primary ingredient (re: first) is the Protein Blend, which lists Whey Protein Isolate as the first protein in the blend. Sugar alcohols do make an appearance in these bars at 8g, and sucralose is present (though it is the very last ingredient listed, but some people might want to avoid artificial sweeteners regardless of the amount used). If you’re one of those, I strongly suggest looking into the 46g bars (190 calories, 8g fat, 14g carb, 16g protein). For many individuals, that puts these bars solely in the “meal replacement” category, which might alienate some people. At the time of this review, I have tried all three flavors, and each one of them is unique in their own way! It should be noted that for the context of this review, I am focusing on the larger sized bars (88g) in the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookies and Creme flavors, and the smaller 46g bar in the Peanut Butter flavor.Īs previously mentioned, these bars are massive one 88g Fit Crunch Bars holds a whopping 380 calories (16g fat, 27g carb, and 30g protein). While they are massive bars at the normal size (1 bar is 88g), they are definitely more than capable of filling you up for hours. These are candy bars, right?įit Crunch Bars are not a candy bar? Could’ve fooled me! Coming in three delicious flavors, Peanut Butter, Cookies and Cream, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Fit Crunch Bars are a “six-layered baked protein bar”. ![]() Ok Chef Irvine, you can stop messing with me now. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you see inaccuracies in our content, please report the mistake via this form.
